What is therapeutic yoga?

Therapeutic yoga is designed for people who believe their levels of pain, fatigue, tightness, tension, or stress are standing between themselves and the rest of their lives. It combines the art of traditional hatha yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation with modern scientific understanding of kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology. It is a balanced and mindful approach to health and healing that enables you to develop awareness and a sense of ease.  

What you can expect

In the initial stages, you can expect to move in a slow and mindful way in order to facilitate a sense of ease while enabling your optimal movement. As your pain levels decrease and your movement improves, your strength and core stability will be challenged so that you become strong in a soft and efficient way.
